> Peg Leg Porker Spirits is a Nashville-based, award-winning small-batch Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey brand founded in 2013 by championship pitmaster Carey Bringle. Named World's Best Bourbon by The Tasting Alliance in 2023 — the first time the award went to a bourbon outside Kentucky.

## About

Peg Leg Porker Spirits is the world's only bourbon brand owned by a pitmaster. Founder Carey Bringle is a Nashville native, championship pit-master, and owner of Peg Leg Porker BBQ in The Gulch. Every expression is small batch, aged in Tennessee, and bottled at the brand's Nashville facility. Distributed in 26 US states and the United Kingdom.

The brand is recognized for combining the patience of low-and-slow barbecue with old-school bourbon craft. Awards include World's Best Bourbon (Tasting Alliance, 2023), Platinum and Double Platinum medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and ASCOT Awards in 2025, and Best Small Batch Bourbon (10+ years) at the 2024 New York World Spirits Competition.

## Founder

**Carey Bringle** — Pitmaster, founder of Peg Leg Porker Spirits, owner of Peg Leg Porker BBQ. Born and raised in Nashville. Cancer survivor since age seventeen. Two decades on the competition barbecue circuit before opening Peg Leg Porker BBQ in The Gulch in 2013 and laying down his first bourbon barrels the same year.
